I recently saw an old Ivory Soap ad somewhere on the net, so that's what I immediately thought of when I saw the word "nostalgia." People back then would probably be appalled at all the anti-bacterial soap we use now!

First Painting With Wyanne

I'm taking an online painting class by Wyanne. She is such an inspirational artist who has battled throat cancer during the past year. (I had a cousin who lost her battle to throat cancer several years ago after having three bouts with it, so when I saw Wyanne offering her class, I signed up even though I couldn't afford it.) Anyhoo, our first painting was about paths. Since I normally create digital art, I'm not sure I should be let loose with paint!

I found out today from a post by Lani Gerity that a digital picture of mine is in the new issue of Big Kids Magazine. Yahoo! Now I have to figure out how I can afford to get a copy. The magazine is published in Australia, and the postage to have it mailed to the US is more than the price of the magazine. Egads!
