Die Today, Die Tomorrow

My father, who is also in a nursing home, has been doing terrible since my mother died two weeks ago. Yesterday he said his whole body feels funny like something terrible is going to happen to him. I guess this digital collage and poem is my way of dealing with everything that is happening. Elements from Tangie's "Love The Doctor" and Finecrafted Designs' "Oz Punk."

Joss Be Jammed!

I found out an online friend, Deb Gilchrist, died recently from the flu. I've never known anyone who died from the flu. Wow! I've had her death on my mind all week, and wrote this weird poem. Despite having faith in a resurrection, death is still a horrible enemy to all of us.

For David Waters

If you haven't visited David Water's blog before, I think you would enjoy it. He's writes some very interesting poetry, and posts beautiful photos he has taken. His blog is here: http://davidwaters100.blogspot.com/

His last post was photos he took while walking through a cemetery. The fall trees were a perfect backdrop for the tombstones. I created the digital collage below for him, because I found his photos so beautiful. I combined two of the photos to create the background, increased the saturation of the color, and wrote a free verse. I did this for David, but he said it was fine to share it with you.
