Sad that there are children that grow up like this.
It's sad that you grew up like this dear Bill...
I didn't have physical abuse but the mental abuse started in my early teens and went on until I stood my ground in my twenties. It nearly killed me and I had a breakdown then.
Think of it as an early chapter in your book and you need not read that page ever again if you don't want to. Just turn the page and think of your blessings today.
