Digital Whisper Challenge - Letter D
The challenge was to pick a font and create an interesting capital letter D using it. Since I love steampunk, I decided to go with that style.

Life Book Class Drawing Assignment Two
I've been working on another assignment for the online "Life Book" class I'm taking at http://willowing.ning.com/. We're working on a piece of art that shows each person's personality has both light and dark attributes. Interesting. Maybe I don't have a split personality after all! (Just kidding.) Here's what I have done so far. I'm loving this class, because everything we do is hand drawn. It's a true multimedia experience!
I have to go to the store and buy ink so I can finish the project. We learned a technique where you drop ink into shaving cream, swirl the ink around, and then press the picture into the shaving cream. It leaves a marbled look on the paper once you wipe the shaving cream off. I will be doing that to the two blank corners. What a great project!

Wonderful Gift Received Today!
I wrote several posts earlier that a wonderful friend was having the digital collages I made for the Art Journal Caravan 2011 made into a book. Well, the book arrived today. It is so beautiful! I never expected to have any of my work made into such a wonderful keepsake. I took a picture of it with the camera built into my iMac.
I don't know if the person wants her name mentioned, so I guess all I can say is, "Thank you so much!"

Take A Word Challenge - Moo/Vintage
This is certainly a different challenge. A moo card has one rule: the template measures 1.10 x 2.80 inches (or 2.79 x 7.11mm) approximately. In other words, it's small! I came up with the following picture. I named it "Mickey Moo."
You might need to put your glasses on to see it. :O)

Member of New Creative Team!
I received exciting news today. I've been accepted into the new Creative Team being set up for a digital scrapbooking designer new to deviantscrap.com. He goes by the name Mister Whiskers. I've posted a couple of collages before using dinosaurs from one of his first kits. It should be fun creating pages using elements created by another man for a change. I always feel like I'm one of a select few men who enjoy creating digital journal pages. Now all that is about to change! I'm anxious to see what kits Mister Whiskers designs for us to work with. It should be a fun experience! Hopefully I can do his work justice.
Art Journal Caravan 2012 - Week 3 Prompt
I thought this was a funny prompt, so I had to do something with it: "What time did you get up today (was it on purpose)?"
Elements from Tangie Baxter's "Compendium Dreams" and free "Up, Up, Away" kits.

Welcome To My Mid-Winter Tea Party!
(Many of the elements used to create the following party came from Brimm's digital kit "Midnight Cinderella" at deviantscrap.com. We must give credit where credit is due!)

Well now, I can finally offer you a proper cup of tea! Please take some cupcakes, tarts and tea cakes, too. I know I promised you a crazy time, but, as usual, food seems to be what everyone is interested in.
(Judy said she'd be here with bells on!)
(Photos in picture by Eric Tenen on http://www.parisdailyphoto.com/. I didn't ask if I could use his photos, so I hope posting his link will keep him from having me thrown in prison. June provided the green hat. She is very famous for her many hats!)

I think we need a cold drink after that! Then I'm afraid it's time we wrap up this tea party. Billizetti turns into a pumpkin at midnight.
