Steampunk Heart

Elements taken from Mr. Whiskers' new kit "Steampunk 2." Background from Mr. Whiskers' first "Steampunk" kit. This is a little bit dark in subject, but my 82 year old mother stopped eating 5 weeks ago, and we are waiting for her to die. We had to put my 83 year old father in a nursing home this afternoon. This double whammy doesn't leave room for too many smiles.

Oh Bill, I'm so sorry. My first instinct is to say that I wish i could somehow shield you from this pain. But anyone who is born and knows their parents has to go through it. It is one of the most difficult challenges of life, I think, to say goodbye to the ones who raised us.
You have been heavily on my mind and in my prayers for many days, and will continue to be so. God is with you and your mother and your family, comforting you and helping you to do what needs to be done.

Bill...I read your post on Jan's blog. I felt compelled to visit...my heart goes out to you. I went through this with my father a number of years after my mother died. he began to die when she did..i saw his heart break. He too, finally decided it was time to go..he went his way..it took some time, but I stayed with him and he went his way and it was the greatest gift I could give him....it was hard to watch,to seer him not eat...I feel you sorrow at the losses you are facing.
I have read your previous posts and I see you have found smiles. They will come,as you have seen.
