My online buddy Seth Apter from The Altered Page is hosting a blog hop tomorrow. We are suppose to show our studio tables in all of their messy glory. Well, my table is beyond messy. I need an art room! I have one corner in my bedroom, and it is so full of clutter that I can't use the table. Who knows what I really have in those piles?!
I guess these photos explain why I create so much digital art. If I want to create physical art, I have to gather my supplies and go down to the kitchen table. You no doubt can tell that's a window behind my mess. The light is not a big, holy halo surrounding my artwork as it may appear at first glance. :-)
I'm sure you will want to visit the other artists participating in this blog hop. Seth has a full list of links on his blog. The actual hop is tomorrow Sept. 18 th. Be sure to tell Seth I said hello!

I think your 'studio table' is wonderful! The light source is fabulous and the color and artwork surrounding it are INSPIRING!
So glad that so many of us are sharing the REALITY of a working studio table - it really is time we banish the unrealistic concept of the 'perfect studio'!!
Love your work and your creative space. At least it looks relatively organized ;o)
your sneak peak of paintings is awesome!
And you are not alone with creative clutter!!!!!
I personally don't see anything wrong with a bit of creative clutter! I look at a room like that and I think "OH BOY! What good stuff is in there being worked on??"
Keep doing what you do, Friend Bill!

You DEFINITELY need more space. Maybe some shelves to store all that stuff so your table is free. Anyway, I love your digital work so perhaps lack of space HAS forced your hand.
love your space - feels welcoming to me!!
One of the things I am loving about this blog hop is discovering so many great blogs... And your is all sorts of awesome Bill... I love the halo effect actually and think I would feel quite virtuous if I got to see my work lit like that lol... I am looking forward to my next visit...xx
Love your work and you oh so overflowing desk! xox
Your desk is fun. I like the artwork there to continue your inspiration.
From what I saw of your artwork, it is exceptional. Seems the light has a magic effect on your art, regardless. I am in awe of what I saw, so I can only applaud your abilities. Although rather confining, you still seem to make lovely art in this space. Of course, after a brief look around, I am impressed with your digital art, too!
What a great place to work in! I do mostly digital for the very same reasons, Bill!
Bill, I may be a bit more organized, but I envy all those art works hanging around you, I mean I have no free wall anymore, only drawers and shelves, so when I grow up I would love to have some free wall space :-)
Love your art and space Bill!
It does turn into quite a n adventure to dive into the piles now and again and find the buried treasure. You must have a determined "need" to create. :-)
I remember that feeling! It wasn't until my youngest flew the coop, that I could truly have a space of my own! It would be easy to stop creating under those conditions. Glad you have your digital art! Thanks for sharing! :)
Oh Bill!! Yup, you need more space!! But that halo effect is very clever! And your art pieces are beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing!")
Thanks for sharing...we once had an iguana-started in a smallish cage. We were told they adapt to their environment as far as size. He got a bigger cage. I told my aunt about it when she asked about the iguana and she exclaimed, "that's my problem! i've adapted to my environment!"
I loved seeing your desk space. I want to see what is in all that stuff piled up there! LOL I bet there is a ton of cool stuff.
I read a quote somewhere that said something like "The desk of a genius is rarely organized," so you are among good company!
I love your creative 'mess' Bi;;! xx
I understand so well dear Bill...
We all really need an art room; and the digital workshop doesn't need so much place, isn't it?
This mess is rather nice; I feel like if I could find some treasures among those piles.
Great creative space. I wish I could get into digital art, need more time in the day!
Wow! I can sympathize, sometimes I can't even find my work surface either. Are you sure that's just sunlight, though? I was certain I heard a heavenly choir emanating from that photo of your paintings in the light... ;)
Mine is worst, my friend!
Bill I think your work space looks like many other creative people's work space, it certainly looks like mine, we can not use our creative time to clean up, cleaning up is not fun, but being creative is fun and we only want the fun part.
