More Sheep!

"Counting Sheep." Mixed media is so much fun. I painted the background in my art journal. I then cut out the sheep from an empty package of Pampers Wet Wipes. Oh my. I guess they're good for more than just keeping little bums clean!

Finally Painted Art Journal Cover

I made an art journal out of mixed media paper. It's almost full, so I decided I should do something with the cover. I remembered a technique I learned in a class about painting something so it looks like faux leather. I tried it on the cover, and I love how it looks! :-)

It's about time I get some mixed media work posted here, right? :-)

I  don't usually buy the monthly digital kits for the Art Journal Caravan only because we're usually broke. I did buy this month's kit, though. I loved the colors. All of the digital elements in the collage below are from the kit except for the glitter splatters. They are from a kit by CAH.

Someone is finally swinging on the chandelier!

Oh No. Another Chandelier!

I can't get enough of Sia's song "Chandelier." I don't especially like some of the words, but the music and her singing it are wonderful. Plus, I've always wanted a chandelier. I think it goes back years when I saw the first room a friend of my parents had done in French Provincial. I actually like French Cottage a lot better, and they still use chandeliers in that style. Man. When did I become an Interior Designer? I guess it's just another facet of my insanity! Egads!

Married 36 Years Today - Egads!

Now I feel old! Especially since I'm 10 years older than my wife.

I think I need to think some silly thoughts and forget about age!
