LifeBook 2012 Nov - Celebrating Successes

This week's lesson was about painting a stylized mermaid. It was suppose to be swimming upward to represent swimming up toward success. Sounds a little fishy to me, but whatever. Here's my finished painting. Yep, it's a little weird, but at least it's a real painting. I tried to make the mermaid long and willowy looking like the seaweed. Oh. Since the idea was to celebrate our own personal success, I had to paint a merman instead of a mermaid. You can't really tell the difference anyway. I need to practice painting mermaids!

Oh Bill! Your merman is splashtastic! What will his name be?
I wish this was hanging in my bathroom with my other mermaids!

You have to be proud of this painting Bill!
Your merman is moving and moving (en mouvement et émouvant).
I love the BG too!
Bravo for your real and palpable artwork! :)

I like the idea of a Merman (not Ethel) and also having him resemble seaweed. I love the way your mind works.
