Take A Word Challenge - Blackbird

I was asked to provide the inspirational picture for this week's Take A Word Challenge. The word was blackbird. I love blackbirds! They can be sinister, funny and sometimes just plain messy. Just ask any scarecrow! Edgar Allan Poe was quite an authority on blackbirds (ravens), too.

If you would like to see all of the works people came up with, please visit http://takeaword.blogspot.com/ where you can find a link to their blogs. Just be sure to duck with all of the blackbirds flying around!

Awesome creation, a little bit gruesome, but funny too with the bird dropping, I love it.

You scamp you. I thought at first that was a flower on Poe's hat, but alas and alack it was the blackbird's offering for the day! Thanks for giving us a great example for inspiration, Bill!

Thanks for the theme, Bill. Your entry is very masculine. I love the black/grey Good thing Poe wore a snazzy hat! LOL
