Little Boy Blue

I often mention my fellow friend in weirdness, insanity, art, and whatever ever else can be considered strange in this world, Marguerite Bryant, in posts on my blog. Yesterday she outdid herself. (Well, she just about outdoes herself every day, but . . . )

I sent a butterfly I created to the special project being sponsored by the Holocaust Museum in Houston. Each butterfly will represent one of the 1,500,000 innocent children who lost their lives in the holocaust. Marguerite joined me and others like Seth Apter and sent in a butterfly, too. However, she was so moved by the purpose of the project, that M (as we affectionately call her) is creating a butterfly every day for an entire year. She even created a special blog so we could see her daily creations.

Yesterday she created this butterfly:

Isn't that the cutest little butterfly you have ever seen? Oh! That just happens to be my grandson Corben. Wow! (I bet you knew that was coming.)

You really should visit Marguerites blog and see all of the other butterflies she has already made. Just click here to go to her blog:  http://mybutterflyyear.blogspot.com/ Corben was day 63, so you have 62 other butterflies you can enjoy looking at.

If you would like to read more about the butterfly project, just click here: http://hmh.org/ed_butterfly1.shtml Anyone with any artistic inclination should participate!

Have a great art day!

French Butterfly

People have called me a lot of things - crazy, nuts, retarded, stupid, whatever - but this is the first time someone has turned me into a butterfly. My friend Marguerite from Hearts Desire 4 Joy has been participating in the butterfly project I mentioned earlier. She decided she is going to create a butterfly every day for a year. Whoa! That's a lot of butterflies! Evidently, she decided I needed to be a butterfly, a French one at that. (I am Canadian French, but unfortunately, cannot speak the language.) Anyhow, here is how M, as we affectionately call her, envisions me as a butterfly:

Butterfly Project

I am so happy I participated in the Butterfly Project. If you haven't read about it yet, you can get all the information here:

I'm especially happy today, because my butterfly finally arrived in Canada, and is now included in the huge group of butterflies waiting to sail away to their final destination.

My butterfly is the lower left corner. Yay! Just click on the picture to see a larger size. There's still plenty of time if you were like to join in.
