Dear Bill, such a lovely but sad little poem. I hope that's not how you feel right now. Big Hugs xxx

This is so unique and fabulous, Bill. First of all the poem is wonderful. We've all been there but you have expressed the tattered notion so well. The grunge is terrific - the splotches, the messy stitching - inspired. A great take on this week's theme.

What a superb piece, Bill! I love your poem and the way you presented it. How true it is that the more we love the more tattered our hearts may be.

Both lovely and sad. Beautifully written and illustrated.

A beautiful and expressive work Bill- all the more so how it is written on the grungy ruled paper- from the heart!

I agree with the other comments and hope that your heart is in better shape than your wonderfully written verse. And the paper is perfect!

I have some tape if you need it.

Wonderful example of "tattered". Your entry is great and so is the verse.

An inspired interpretation of the challenge, Bill. From the tattered script to the grungy background, an excellent bit of art!

Bill, this is so sad and hopeless. It talks to my melancholic soul. On the other hand, I do hope you can mend your heart and enjoy the light side of the force :)

what a wonderful melancholy poem... i love how you created the background, too!

A beautiful and well matching visualisation : ) It's sadly true what you say but our heart has the ability to see beauty and bliss from the deepest darkness.

I feel so sad now. I've had my own attempts to tape a broken heart too. I love your writing, Bill.
