Under the Sea

I couldn't sleep at all last night, and got up and read some email. One was of a post my friend Marguerite had put on her blog, and it contained a picture of a zentangle she made when she couldn't sleep the night before. I decided I would try making a sleep-deprived zentangle, too. Before I turned off the light, I decided my zentangle definitely looked like something made by a sleep-deprived person! However, after scanning and playing around with it in Photoshop today, I decided it makes a pretty good sea creature. Who knows what really lurks down in those dark, watery worlds?

Warning - if you ever happen to see one of these while you are swimming, I have no idea if they are friendly or not.

Bill, it's a fantastic zentangle. You did well on no sleep. I wonder, why is it that everywhere and everyday I am hearing about people not able to sleep. I know I am in that category often and my dh has meds that make him wakeful.

I think it looks like a cross between a skate and an octopus, but definitely a sea creature.

I love the blue/green and black contrast! The 3-D effects are great too. Maybe I'll try that next time I can't sleep.

Wow! I love this! Did it help you get to sleep finally? They really put my mind into a meditative state.
I would love to have a copy of this to hang in my bathroom with my mermaid collection!

Very nice! Perhaps you should always be sleep deprived when you create!!! I do need to start tangling with my zen...unleash the latent doodler inside...

Isn't it amazing what we can create when we are sleep deprived! Hugs xx
